Frequently asked questions
- Does the QR code expire or stop working?
- No. The QR code just encodes your text directly, so it works forever and isn't tied to any server or account.
- Can I make a QR code for Wi-Fi, a phone number, or a vCard, not just a URL?
- Yes. Paste any text, and it'll encode it as-is. For Wi-Fi or contact-card QR codes, format the text using the standard WIFI: or vCard syntax before pasting it in.
- Is there a limit to how much text I can put in one QR code?
- Yes, longer text needs a denser QR code to fit, which can make it harder for some scanners to read reliably. A short URL or a sentence or two scans much more consistently than a full paragraph.
