Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire or stop working?
No. The QR code just encodes your text directly, so it works forever and isn't tied to any server or account.
Can I make a QR code for Wi-Fi, a phone number, or a vCard, not just a URL?
Yes. Paste any text, and it'll encode it as-is. For Wi-Fi or contact-card QR codes, format the text using the standard WIFI: or vCard syntax before pasting it in.
Is there a limit to how much text I can put in one QR code?
Yes, longer text needs a denser QR code to fit, which can make it harder for some scanners to read reliably. A short URL or a sentence or two scans much more consistently than a full paragraph.
