- How do I calculate two discounts stacked together, like 20% off plus an extra 10%?
- Apply them one after another, not added together. Enter the original price, take 20% off to get the first sale price, then run that result back through the calculator with the second 10% off. Two stacked 20%/10% discounts equal 28% off total, not 30%.
- I know the sale price and the discount percentage. Can I find the original price?
- Yes, switch to the reverse mode and enter the sale price and the percentage off; the calculator solves backward for the original price and the amount you saved.
- Does the result include sales tax?
- No, the calculator works out the discount only. If tax applies, add it to the sale price afterward at your local rate, since that varies by location and isn't something a discount tool can assume.
